Formula 10.0.6 Seriously Shine Free Moisturizer Review

About two weeks ago, I started running low on my Olay moisturizer so I went to CVS to get a new one. I wasn't a huge fan of the Olay moisturizer I'd been using, but I'm a firm believer in using up products I have whether or not I like the product. Of course, if there's some sort of allergic reaction or other serious offense, I'd stop using that product.
So while at CVS, I was browsing the aisles looking for an inexpensive moisturizer, and I ended up grabbing this moisturizer by the brand Formula 10.0.6, which I'd never tried before. The main reason I grabbed this moisturizer? Honestly? There was a bright orange clearance sticker label on the price label! I bought the moisturizer for $2.99, but I know it's a bit more expensive than that now. But anyways, long story short, it's my favorite moisturizer ever now! The actual moisturizer is lightweight, and the only downside to it, to me anyways, is that the moisturizer is a bit liquid-y so beware if you're using this to open it right side up or you'll get a downpour of moisturizer on your hand.
This moisturizer, while some people get shine-free skin all day, doesn't work quite that well in the shine-free department. That might make you wonder why it's my favorite moisturizer then since it doesn't do what it claims to do. I can't really explain other than I love this moisturizer, and it works so well on my skin. It's light so I can easily layer it under my Olay BB Fresh Effects BB Cream (look at me with another Olay product. Oi). Also, my skin is so problematic that I doubt there are any moisturizers that could totally mattify my face though that would be quite wondrous if there were! If you can recommend any, definitely let me know!

Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Dust It Review

As some of you may know, I've been a member of Influenster since earlier this year, and I qualified for their Spring Vox Box. (For a more detailed description of what Influenster is, see my Palmolive review)  I just got my Vox Box in the mail today, and I was super excited to see what it contained! One of the items, which I'm reviewing in this post, was the Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Dust It hair product. The Dust It is "a multi purpose mattifying powder that adds incredible root lift, texture, and control. Perfect for creating thicker, fuller-looking hair." As someone with rather limp hair, I was anxious to try this product out since I'm always looking for a good product to help boost my hair volume.
In the last couple of years, dry shampoos have made a great debut, and beauty gurus from all over are always recommending them and using them to great advantage. I have yet to try one myself, but this Dust It is supposed to work partly as a dry shampoo! Let's see if it really works as one.
First off, the benefits. These benefits, as provided by the company include:

  • Incredible root lift
  • Light-weight powder to texturize
  • Soft matte effect
  • Control & separation
  • Long lasting hold & texture
  • Versatile control effect: the more you apply the more control you get
I'm not one to be easily swayed by what a brand puts out as benefits, since how often is a brand truly sincere about their product? After reading a few reviews on the Influenster site of this product (Read reviews here), I was even more skeptical about trying it, but there were quite a few good reviews so I figured, might as well have a go!

A Myriad of Lipsticks

It's spring time finally though where I'm at, it feels more like summer. It's been at least 68 degrees (Fahrenheit obviously) every day, and I'm loving it! Unfortunately for me, though, I have terrible seasonal allergies so I'm stuck inside. The most terrible thing about seasonal allergies is that I cannot wear much makeup: zero eye makeup. But, however, it's not so bad because I can still wear lipsticks! So I'm going to review a few favorites of mine.

These are all the lipsticks I'll be reviewing. Hopefully the pictures are not super blurry.
