I picked up this Nature Republic color correcting cushion on my latest trip to Seoul in December. I purchased it in a Nature Republic store in the Hongdae/홍대 area. It currently costs 18,900₩, but I believe I got it on sale for 15,000₩ thanks to the new product launch sale they had going on for this. (Note: Nature Republic sales promotions vary by store)
This cushion comes with three shades: pink, green, and purple. Each of these colors are meant for different purposes. The minty green is meant to cover redness, pink helps cover up dark under-eye circles, and purple helps balance yellow-y skin-tones.
I like the packaging of the box because it fits the feeling of Nature Republic with a natural-looking box and simple logo design. Most, or at least many, of Nature Republic's products are green, white, or a combination of the two, and this cushion is no exception.
The packaging of the cushion itself is nice because it has the colors that are inside the cushion blended on the top in a very faint pastel. I like that you can get an idea of what colors are inside based solely off the top of the packaging. There are so many products I'm hesitant to try mainly because the packaging doesn't give any hint at what's inside and testers aren't always available. The back and top flap of the box do have tiny pictures of what the inside product looks like as well.
This is definitely a pretty cushion. The colors compliment each other within the cushion, and they're fun. I've always liked Nature Republic for their simplistic packaging, especially with their makeup products. The simple designs make them easy to look at, and I find that the more minimalist the packaging, the longer I tend to hold onto a product. I prefer the simple designs because they don't have that trendy feel that feels like it ought to be replaced every time a new trend comes about.
In this cushion, all three colors are included within the same sponge. It seems more like the three colors were soaked into a tri-colored sponge rather than each individual color being a soaked into separate, uncolored sponges based on the way that the product looks when you press the provided puff into the sponge. While you can distinctly see how the colors are sectioned inside the cushion, I found the colors to look very similar once patted onto my skin, without blending them.
The colors do look quite distinct when you press the puff into the cushion. I felt that you had to push down much harder than a regular BB-cushion to get the color out. I'm not sure if the cushion just contains less product than other types of cushions or if the type of sponge affects how easy it is to get product out.
Overall, the idea of a color correcting cushion seems like a great idea since it's three colors in one with an easy application, however, this cushion is not quite what I expected. Since this is a cushion and not, say, a color correcting cream stick, I wasn't expecting the colors to be very potent or showy, but the colors are still more muted upon application than I thought. They come off as more of a white or pearly shade than the colors shown in the cushion.

That being said, this cushion definitely lightens my skin more than is natural to my skin-tone, though it's not that unexpected for any Korean base makeup. I've found most Korean base makeups to be either promoted to or simply made to even out but also lighten the natural skin-tone. While an illuminator is meant to just brighten the skin, this cushion leans more towards lightening (or you could even say, whitening) ones skin-tone making it almost necessary to wear one or two shades darker in any foundation or types of other coverage makeup if you want to match the rest of your skin.

The main thing I dislike, is actually a key factor I look for in any type of makeup. I have combination skin, so I'm always looking at how moisturizing a product is. This cushion definitely doesn't meet that mark. It goes on really smoothly, but it eventually made my skin look a bit flaky, though the way it felt on my skin didn't change. This is something I've found to be really common in products that are touted as oil-free/oil-absorbing, etc. They often tend to draw moisture out causing my face to get more oily later on to make up for the missing moisture.
As such, I would definitely not recommend this for someone with dry skin, possibly even combination skin if you have dry patches. It could be usable if you make sure to moisturize very well using whatever your preferred combination of moisturizing creams and facial oils is prior to applying this. However, I would still stick to a cream-based product or one that has a greater moisturizing factor.
I have decided that this is not something that I would repurchase, however, it does not really affect whether or not I will try other new Nature Republic products since I've had such great experiences with past products. I've tried and loved other makeup items, so I'm still very willing to try out any new items they come out with.
